Background: Marilyn Monroe, the American film star, left the New York Neurological Institute of Columbia Presbyterian Medical Centre Mar 5 after a twenty-three day rest and examination period.

Miss Monroe, emerging from the hospital, looked pale and seemed startled monetarily when suddenly confronted by photographers, reporters and hundreds of cheering fans. "I feel wonderful", Miss Monroe said as she was escorted to her car by six hospital security guards, two private detectives, a secretary, and a press agent.

Following the filming of "The Misfits" with the late Clark Gable, during which she was also in the process of obtaining a divorce from Arthur Miler, Miss Monroe was admitted to a Hollywood hospital in September. She entered the New York Hospital's Payne Whitney Psychiatric Clinic on Feb 5, and left Feb 10 to enter the private pavilion of the Neurological Institute.
