    IN BELGIUM SOME 10,000 DEMONSTRATORS PARADED TROUGH THE STREETS OF BRUSSELS TODAY (SATURDAY) IN PROTEST AGAINST U.S. INVOLVEMENT ION THE VIETNAM CONFLICT. LATER TONIGHT SOME 300 DEMONSTRATORS CLASHED WITH RIOT POLICE OUTSIDE THE AMERICAN EMBASSY AND ABOUT 12 WERE ARRESTED.

    THE DEMONSTRATORS MARCHED THROUGH THE CENTRE OF BRUSSELS BEARING CARDBOARD CARICATURES OF PRESIDENT JOHNSON AND PLACARDS READING 'SELF DETERMINATION FOR THE VIETNAMESE PEOPLE' AND 'QUIT NATO'.

    AT ONE POINT THE PROCESSION WAS SHOWERED WITH ANTI-COMMONWEALTH LEAFLETS AND FIRECRACKERS HURLED BY STUDENTS FROM THE UPPER FLOORS OF A LARGE STORE.

    THE MARCH WAS PRECEDED BY AN ADDRESS BY FORMER JUSTICE MINISTER HENRI ROLI ON THE BELGIAN GOVERNMENT TO DENOUNCE U.S. VIETNAM POLICY.

    HE DEMANDED AN ENDED TO AMERICAN BOMBING OF THE NORTH AND SAID THAT THE PRESIDENT CARRIED THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE CONFLICT.
