In a stirring ceremony on Brussels' Esplanade du Cinquantenaire Aug 25, King Baudouin joined crowds of relatives and sympathizers to pay homage to forty-nine Belgian troops who lost their lives in the Congo.

Bodies of the soldiers were brought home Aug 24 aboard the ship "Baudouinville".
