    THE SUPPORTERS OF CUBAN REBEL LEADER FIDEL CASTRO DIE HARD.

    TODAY, IN THE RAIN, SIXTY OF THEM OUT CARRYING PICKET SIGNS IN FRONT OF THE BRITISH CONSULATE OFFICES AT 99 PARK AVENUE.

    THEY WERE PROTESTING THE SALE OF SEVENTEEN BRITISH FIGHTER PLANES OF WORLD WAR II VINTAGE TO THE BATISTA GOVERNMENT. SIGNS AND PLACARDS DENOUNCED THE SALE, ALTHOUGH DELIVERY HAS NOT YET BEEN MADE.

    THE CASTRO SUPPORTERS SAID THE SALE REPORT HAD COME THROUGH IN THE CUBAN UNDERGROUND.

    BESIDES, THEIR STRONGLY-WORDED SIGNS, THE PICKETS PASSED OUT LEAFLETS TO PASSERSBY.

    THE PICKETING WAS SPIRITED BUT BRIEF. IT WAS ALL OVER IN AN HOUR AND TWENTY MINUTES.
