  • Description

These peopled rallied to the Govt. side - they were part of a band of 63 that did so.

They came from the village of Dang-Keng (pron. dang-keng), about 30kms east of Kompong Cham (north-east of Phnom Penh) - which puts them squarely between Chup and Snuol, where very heavy fighting has been taking place recently between South Vietnamese troops and NVA/VC forces.

These people said they fought against mainly South Vietnamese, but returned to the Govt. side because they did not want to fight against Khmers - and did not want to help Vietnamese to kill Khmers.
