STEPHEN KALONG NINGKAN RESPECTIVELY, WERE ALSO PRESENT AT THE PRESS CONFERENCE.

WHILE IN SARAWAK, TUN RAZAK WILL HAVE TALKS ON THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A TERRITORIAL ARMY "IN ORDER TO EXPAND OUR ARMY AS FAST AS POSSIBLE", ALTHOUGH HE REGARDS THE DEFENCE POSITION IN MALAYSIAN BORNEO AT PRESENT IS ADEQUATE.

AS HE WAS ABOUT TO DRIVE OFF AFTER THE CONFERENCE, TUN RAZAK WAS MET OUTSIDE THE AIRPORT BUILDING BY EARL MOUNTBATTEN, BRITAIN'S CHIEF OF DEFENCE STAFF. EARL MOUNTBATTEN WAS AT THE AIRPORT TO BOARD A PLANE FOR THE SABAH CAPITAL OF JESSELTON TO CONTINUE HIS TOUR OF BRITISH DEFENCE POSITIONS THERE.
