U.S. Secretary of State, Mr. William Rogers, flew in to Amman on Sunday (2 May) on a 21-hour visit to Jordan to discuss with King Hussein ways in which a settlement tin the Arab-Israeli dispute might be achieved. Mr Rogers arrived from Saudi Arabia, where he had talks with King Faisal, and was greeted by Jordanian Foreign Minister, Abdullah Salah. The airport was under heavy guard for his arrival. After his arrival Mr Rogers delivered a short address which outlined the purpose of his visit.
