Background: Motor-cycling enthusiasts can be found all over the world and the sport has gained in popularity in both Europe and the United States.

In recent years a number of events have been opened to junior riders, riding lightweight bikes. This kind or sport is particularly popular in the United States where some of the competitors are only seven years old.

One of the tracks popular with American motor-cross riders is in Pennsylvania. This track has a history of twenty three years behind it and attracts riders from New York, New Jersey, from March to November.

Though prizes are small and it costs a lot of money to go in for competition riding, there is no lack of aspiring young champions.

SYNOPSIS:The riders here include men of sixty. Mr. Bino here has been riding motorcycles for forty five years. He doesn't feel he's too old for racing. He says he'll keep on going until he has to quit.

Though some parents think that racing for children is a hazardous sport, many youngsters think it's more fun than football.

Motorcycle racing is a very expensive sport. The course is tough on the machines and they last only one season. The cost for a year of racing including bikes, petrol and entry fees runs between three and four thousand dollars. Winnings are usually small - either a souvenir trophy or a small cash prize. But motorcyclists don't race for the money or the prestige of winning, they race because they enjoy it....old and young alike.
