    ARBEKOV, WHO WON THE OPENING ROUND OF THIS SEASON'S WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP IN BARCELONA LAST MONTH, CAME OFF AND DAMAGED HIS MACHINE ON THE SECOND LEG OF THE EVENT.

    HALLMAN, WHO HAD FINISHED SECOND TO THE RUSSIAN IN THE FIRST LEG, WENT ON TO WIN THE SECOND LEG AND CLINCH OVERALL VICTORY. HALLMAN RODE A HUSQVARNA. HIS WIN PUT HIM IN THE LEAD IN THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP PLACINGS AFTER TWO EVENTS.
