Background: The Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Sharifuddin Pirzada, conferred with President Nasser of the United Arab Republic in Cairo yesterday (Thursday) on the Middle East situation and steps to regain Arab territory occupied by Israel. Mr. Pirzada arrived in Cairo on Tuesday in the course of a Middle East tour, which has already taken him to Iraq, Syria and the Lebanon.
Mr. Pirzada told reporters he brought a message from President Ayub Khan to President Nasser. He said both Pakistan and Egypt had common objectives in "liquidating the consequences of aggression". From Egypt, Mr. Pirzada will go on to Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Kuwait and the Sudan.
