    FLANKED BY MR. SARDON BIN JUBIR, THE MALAYSIAN MINISTER OF TRANSPORT AND MR. STEPHEN KALONG NINGKAN, CHIEF MINISTER OF SARAWAK, TUN RAZAK SAID THE MALAYSIAN CENTRAL GOVERNMENT WOULD SUPPLY MANPOWER AND OTHER ASSISTANCE TO THE SARAWAK GOVERNMENT TO IMPLEMENT THE PROGRAMME.

    ON THE SECURITY MEASURES, TUN ABDUL RAZAK SAID MORE TROOPS FROM MALAYA WOULD BE SENT TO SARAWAK TO DEFEND BORDER VILLAGES FROM FURTHER INTRUSIONS BY INDONESIAN TERRORISTS. STRINGENT MEASURES WOULD SOON BE TAKEN AGAINST COMMUNISTS IN THE STATE.

    LATER IN THE AFTERNOON, HE MET THE NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT PLANNING COMMITTEE TO DISCUSS THE FIVE-YEAR DEVELOPMENT PLAN. THE PLAN MEANT A CHANGE OF LIFE AND A BETTER AND HIGHER STANDARD OF LIVING FOR THE PEOPLE.
