TRANSCRIPT: COHEN: "The (INDISTINCT) had lost six straight and followed their last fourteen before returning to friendly Three Rivers Stadium and Pittsburgh's Babushka power. Begun by Pirate broadcaster Bob Prince, the Babushka Brigade with thousands of waving scarves may be the psychological boost the Pirates need to get out of the slump."

"It worked last night. All Oliver became productive again, moving out of manager Danny Murtar's doghouse with this second inning run-scoring double. He also had two other hits including a solo homer in the seventh. The Pirates made it two-nothing in the second when Oliver scored on a single be Dave Parker. Ritchie Zist later added a home run and Pittsburgh finally had a win."

"Jerry Royce meanwhile was cruising on a three-hitter. He fanned six and walked only two to up his record to thirteen and nine. But was his fifth shutout of the season. Because the Phillies lost to Atlanta, the Pirates are now back in first place. If anyone was happier with the victory than Royce and his teammates it had to be the Babushka Brigade. This is Dave Cohen reporting."
