TRANSCRIPTS: "Carlo Bonomi is equipped for -- at the very least -- a double life, perhaps more. Business tycoon, Ferrari driver. economist....and almost by accident, powerboat champion. He says he was shopping for a pleasure-boat one day, saw a racer and told the boatyard salesman he'd take it if the price was right. It was....and he did.....and three years later he won his first World Championship. The sport is tricky, expensive and dangerous. Nobody ever managed back-to-back world Championships....though racer-designer Don Arronau came close. But Bonomi roared away from all the competition this year in an Arronau-built boat. He made it look easy, entering eight races in the Championship series from England to Argentina, to Nassau and back....winning seven of the eight. In face, the only race he lost was in front of the home folks at Via Reggia, Italy, last July. The rest of the time, it was win, win, win. Bonomi gave proper credit to his crew."

(SEQ 4): BONOMI: "I would not compete any more in the World Championship....though I hope I will have the chance of doing some races just for the pleasure of doing them."
