Major General David Ivris: We have to maintain observation on the area. We can't afford to lose it so long as we can we'll keep observation over the area and we'll keep it we need to by battles. It is not in our interest to fight Syrian Migs if they're not interfering. We fought over Lebanon not on the Syrian Border.
Question: Do you think there is a provocation on part of the Syrians, are they expanding their activity in this area?
Major General Yehoshua Saguy: Since the last dogfight in June the Syrians have kept a constant presence over the skys of Lebanon having 2 daily flights a day to show their presence there. but although they were there we were never intercepted until Last wednesday and again today, that is what caused the battle. We are not trigger happy we are not after battle.
