    IN A STATEMENT AFTER TALKS BETWEEN MR. MIKOYAN AND DR. CASTRO AT THAT TIME, IT WAS POINTED OUT THAT IF NECESSARY FOR CUBA'S DEFENCE, RUSSIA HAD AGREED TO SELL MILITARY AIRCRAFT TO THE CUBAN GOVERNMENT.
