  • Description

    More than 250 caravans
as well as tents and camping equipment go on display in London tomorrow
(Wednesday, November the 11th) when the 11th International Caravan and Camping
    Exhibition opens.

The show includes more than 90 new model caravans, trailers and tents, and is
the biggest and most comprehensive yet held.

Trends evident at the show included the greater use of stainless steel in
kitchens, dual lighting - gas and fluorescent - plus more insulation.

There is more international participation this year, including displays from
Italy, West Germany, Yugoslavia, Spain, Eire and Canada.

Among the new caravans on display is the "Topaz 2", a 13 feet (3.9 m) two or
three-berth caravan, and the "Europa 455" a six berth caravan 15 feet (4.6 m) in
    length.

The organisers of the exhibition, say that British caravan industry earned more
than GPB10 million (24 million dollars) in experts in 1969.)
