Candidates must have a degree in law before being allowed to take the preliminary examinations. After training, the women will be sent to various police stations throughout Italy. The new corps has not yet got its own uniform: Government officials are still studying the matter.

In the classrooms, the women study the many different aspects of law. They learn how fingerprints can track down criminals ..... and they are taught judo for self-defence.
