    NEUTRALIST GOVERNMENT FORCES CONTINUED THEIR HUNT FOR RIGHT-WING GENERAL PHOUMI NOSAVAN AFTER GAINING COMPLETE CONTROL IN VIENTIANE TODAY (THURSDAY) FOLLOWING LAST NIGHT'S BATTLE WITH REBEL POLICE FORCES.NEUTRALIST PRIME MINISTER PRINCE SOUVANNA PHOUMA WAS REPORTED TO WANT THE RIGHT-WING COMMANDER TO BE TRIED FOR HIGH TREASON IF HE CAN BE CAUGHT.THE UNSUCCESSFUL COUP INITIALLY COLLAPSED SOME 15 HOURS AFTER IT STARTED.A MEETING ON MONDAY FOLLOWED THE INITIAL COLLAPSE WHEN COLONEL BOUNLET SYKOSY MET PRINCE SOUVANNA PHOUMA IN VIENTIANE.AT THAT TIME COLONEL BOUNLET SYKOSY WAS SEEN AS LEADER OF THE REBEL TROOPS.

    THE MEETING WAS ALSO ATTENDED BY OTHER GENERALS, INCLUDING GENERAL KOUPRASITH ABHAY, THE VIENTIANNE MILITARY COMMANDER AND LEADER OF A SUCCESSFUL COUP LAST APRIL.

    COLONEL BOUNLET, WHO WAS RIGHT-WING CABINET CHIEF FOR GENERAL PHOUMI NOSOVAN, IS NOW REPORTED TO HAVE REJOINED THE GOVERNMENT FORCES.
