Greek Prime Minister Mr. Karamanlis and Foreign Minister Mr. Averof left Athens by air for?
Greek Prime Minister Mr. Karamanlis and Foreign Minister Mr. Averof left Athens by air for Zurich Feb 5 for new talks on Cyprus with Premier Menderes and other Turkish Government leaders. Greek Minister of Security Mr. Kalaitzis bade them farewell.
Talks between the Greek and Turkish statesmen will last three days. Mr. Averof said at the airport that the talks were "a starting point" for a speedy and responsible elucidation of the Cyprus problem. The British Government has not been informed of the meeting.
On their first unofficial meeting -- Karamanlis and Menderes are staying in the same Zurich hotel -- the two Prime Ministers underlined the good omen of the "peaceful country" of Switzerland as the setting for their conference.
