President Nixon of the United States arrived in Belgrade on Wednesday (30 September) after a visit to his Sixth Fleet stationed in the Mediterranean. president Tito and a party of Yugoslav officials greeted Mr. Nixon when he arrived at the Government buildings for the start of the official round of talks. Various aspects of bilateral co-operation were discussed by the delegations, and members appointed to suggest ways of achieving continued improvement in the future. Both Presidents expressed concern over some of the current problems on the international political scene, and in particular the possible effects of president Nasser's death on the Middle East crisis.
