    United States F-111 aircraft continue their unrelenting bombing raids in areas near the Khmer Republic capital of Phnom Penh. This raid took place on Tuesday (3 July).

    The bombers were backing continuing attempts by Republican Troops with heavy armour to keep Khmer Communists from cutting vital supply routes to the beleaguered city.

    The United States Congress has voted to suspend funds for the bombings on August 15 and the Khmer regime of Marshal Lon Nol needs to make use of the remaining few weeks to consolidate its supply routes.

    SYNOPSIS: Troops of the Khmer Government fight on along the vital Highway Five, near the republic's capital of Phnom Penh as Communists forces continue their attempts to cut supply routes to the beleaguered city.

    The Khmer forces are struggling against time to consolidate the supply routes to Phnom Penh. They are being backed by United States F-One-Eleven aircraft and their own heavy artillery.

    The United States Congress has voted to suspend funds for bombing missions in the Khmer Republic on August the fifteenth and the Government of Marshal Lon Nol needs to make every use of the remaining weeks to consolidate his position.
