ROLL 1 COMMAG. Dr. Bernard Friedman. Chairman of Prog party opens meeting with speech, short piece of him.

Helen Suzman. Lone woman MP for PP who saw the only No vote in a parliament against the Vortser bill. Extracts from her speech, most of it in fact, had no copy of speech to work form and had to hit or miss.

ROLL 2 silent 100 ft., the stage with leader of party Stytler, Freidman and Helen Susman.

Incuts of audience, the hall was full but cannot light it all people leaving the city hall to street. Police van cruises past.

Helen Suszman leaving hall with bouquet.

Poster in city. (first PP put up over 400 posters then city council took all but 40 down, this is supposed to be the max allowed night before PP put a whole lot up again in defiance, guess their might be a court case later over that.)

There were no fights and only twice did I hear a voice raised heckling. Non whites are not allowed to mix in the hall so its all white crowd.

Helen spent most of her speech running sown the United Party the official opposition party, my own opinion is that the UP has really gone down the drain this time.
