    The Malaysian Prime Minister Tunku Abdul Rahman was today (June 24) among a group of eight recipients of honorary degrees at Oxford University.

    In the Sheldonian theatre, the Tunku received his honorary degree in civil law from the Chancellor of the University, former British Prime Minister Mr. Harold Macmillan. Mr. Macmillan described the Tunku as an unwearied patriot whose labours have restored tranquillity at have cemented the ties between his country and the freedom-loving nations of the world.

    The French ambassador to london, M. Geoffroy de "Courcel and the Governor-General of Canada, the Right Honourable Roland Michener, also received honorary degrees incivil law.

    Professor Willard Van Orman Quine, of Harvard University, received an honorary doctorate of letters.
