Background: During this week, Beirut have seen a very intensive period for the only reason that all candidates have done all their efforts by all mean to done different kind of joice and different kind of exhibition for shown to another his stronger and waiting the result of June 19 for the Beirut area.

The competition between all candidates is very strong and more particularly between the second circonscription in which have done important competitors who are: the ex First Prime Minister Sami Solh and Mr. Adnane Hakim.

Sami Solh: is the only moslem Minister who is stay till the end of the Government of President Chamoun. All moslem people don't like him and would like to not enter new in Parliament of 1960.

ADNANE HAKIM: One of the personality very well know in the moslem people. He is one of the effective personality of the trouble of 1958. He is very well known for his aptitude pro U.A.R. and he is proprietor of a lebanese newspaper named " SAT EL OUROUBA". More than this, he is the chief of the "Najjade" Party in Lebanon who count about 12.000 men.

In the oriental district, we mean the first circonscription, all thing is very quiet because two competitors are only the star of this election. There are Mr. Pierre Gemayel ex Minister in the Karane Cabinet and Chief of the Lebanese Phalange and Mr. Pierre Edde, ex Minister and member of the BLOC NATIONAL Party presided by his brother Mr. Raymond Edde.
