    BEFORE THE CONFERENCE BEGAN, DELEGATES WALKED IN PROCESSION THROUGH THE CITY.THE ROUTE TO THE RAMLILA GROUNDS, WHERE THE CONFERENCE IS TAKING PLACE, WAS THRONGED BY THOUSANDS OF WORSHIPPERS.LEADING THE PROCESSION WAS MUNI DESH BHUSHANJI MAHARAJ -- A NAKED HOLY MAN, AND MUNI SUSHIL KUMAR -- AN INDIAN MYSTIC WHO IS SPONSORING THE CONFERENCE.

    AT THE RAMLILA GROUNDS DELEGATES HEARD THREE HOURS OF SPEECHES INCLUDING AN INAUGURAL ADDRESS BY MR.MORARJI BHAI DESAI -- AN INDIAN MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT, AND ONE BY MR.LAL BAHADUR SHASTRI -- PRIME MINISTER OF INDIA.

    (THE WORLD FELLOWSHIP OF RELIGIOUS WAS CONCEIVED BY MUNI SUSHIL KUMAR.THE FIRST CONFERENCE WAS HELD IN NEW DELHI IN 1957 -- AND THE SECOND, THREE YEARS LATER, WAS AT CALCUTTA.THE WORLD FELLOWSHIP OF RELIGIONS WAS FORMED WITH THE IDEA OF PROMOTING MUTUAL RESPECT AND UNDERSTANDING AMONG THE VARIOUS RELIGIONS OF THE WORLD.DELIBERATIONS AT EACH MEETING BEGIN FROM THE PREMISE THAT ALL RELIGIONS AGREE THAT THEIR BELIEFS EMBODY ABOVE ALL LIFE, LIGHT, AND LOVE....AS THE THREE PHASES OF THE SUPREME SOURCE.
