    THEY STARTED IN SUNSHINE, FINALLY GETTING AWAY TWENTY MINUTES LATE. SMOKE POURED FROM GRAHAM HILL'S NEW B.R.M.- THE SELF-STARTER HAD FAILED, HIS MECHANICS HAS PUSHED HIM TO START IT. FOR THIS, HE WAS PENALISED ONE MINUTE.

    JIM CLARK, IN A LOTUS, SOON HAD A CLEAR LEAD, AND, AS IN HOLLAND LAST WEEK, THE RACE BECAME SOMETHING OF A PROCESSION BEHIND HIM. IN POURING RAIN, HE STEADILY INCREASE HIS LEAD, AND BY THE END WAS WELL AHEAD OF TONY MAGGS IN A COOPER AND GRAHAM HILL.

    CLARK WON HIS THIRD GRAND PRIX IN SUCCESSION BY NEARLY A MINUTE. WITH SIX MORE RACES TO GO, HE NOW HAS A COMFORTABLE LEAD ON TOP OF THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP TABLE. BUT GRAHAM HILL, THE REIGNING CHAMPION, CAN STILL KEEP HIS TITLE.
