    Production of war film "The Guns of Navarone" faltered momentarily when British director Alexander McKendrick left after a dispute with producer Carl Foreman, but stars of the cast continued to enjoy themselves on Rhodes, Greek Aegean Island, where the film is being shot.

    Anthony Quinn, and his wife - daughter of late film magnate Cecil B. de Mille, relax over game of chess. Gregory Peck, who starred the Napoleonic Wars naval epic - "Captain Hornblower" - finds time to read his role, and to play with his three-year old son Anthony.

    There is, in fact, a family air to most of the celebrities on Rhodes. The active table-tennis are newly-weds James Darren and his wife, "Miss Denmark 1958". They are combining business with pleasure - filming and honeymooning."
    Other stars in Rhodes for the film include Anthony Quayle, David Niven, and Staple Baker.
