    Background: President Felix Malloum of Chad has paid a visit to Gabon for talks with President Bongo, currently Chairman of the Organisation of African Unity.

    SYNOPSIS: President Bongo was at the Libreville Airport to welcome the visiting leader form Chad and his party. News reports said the major reason for the visit was to discuss problems President Malloum is encountering with FROLINAT guerrillas in Chad. This problem is due to be discussed at the O.A.U. summit meeting in Khartoum shortly, but President Malloum chose to brief the Organisation's Chairman in advance. He had expressed concern about the increasing activities of FROLINAT, the predominantly Muslim National Liberation Front which works against the administration, and is apparently undermining his power.
