100,00 spectators gathered to watch the 21 contestants line up in St. Anthonis, Holland, for the International 5oo ccs Motorcross. It was in beautiful weather that the riders from Holland, Sweden, Gt. Britain, Germany, and Belgium, mounted their machines ready for the 'off'. Of the British team the great Leslie Archer rode a Norton, David Curtis, a matchless, and Jeff Smith and john Draper role B.S.A. bikes.
After an exciting stat the riders bunched together, and in the flurry of getting the best shot, our cameraman lost his balance and nearly fell into the track.
Nillson of Sweden, No SI5, riding a Crescent motor bike, takes the lead, followed by No. A19 Archer and A20 Curtis. The Dutchman J. Clynck, No H3, riding a B.S.A. soon catches them, and the chase is on.
In the last round there is a tremendous duel between Bill Curtis and J. Clynck, but the Dutchman is the first to cross the finishing line, and receive the victor's award.
