Background: Rising floodwaters, threatening to break through a half-completed dam, are currently menacing towns and rams near Morehead, Kentucky. The dam was originally intended to prevent spring flooding, as well as providing a recreation area. Now, if the dam fails, the floods could cause the worst ever devastation in the area. About five-hundred people were evacuated from the immediate danger area on Monday, and more were ready to leave.

SYNOPSIS: They're used to floods around Morehead, Kentucky. But a weekend of record rainfall threatens the area with its worst devastation ever. The trouble centres on a dam, currently being built to control flooding. But with only half the construction work completed, the floodwaters are threatening to break through the dam and destroy the towns and farms that should have been protected. Five hundred people were evacuated from the area on Monday. And, with floodwaters only three feet from the top of the dam. more were ready to flee from their homes.
