    VISNEWS May 12 at the Runnymade War Memorial, Egham, Surrey, filmed the annual remembrance service for officer and men if the Commonwealth Air Forces who died in the second world war.

    The Chaplain in Chief of the Royal Air Force, the Venerable F.W. Cooks, conducted the moving service.

    Each year a Commonwealth country takes its turn to lay the first wreath, and this year--the sixth--it was the turn of India. Wreaths were also laid on behalf of the Commonwealth Air Forces and Royal Air Force Pathfinders and Gunners Associations.

    The memorial, capped by a symbolic flying control tower from which many of the dead received their last flying instructions, commemorates over twenty-thousand men and women who died in the war and who no known grave.
