Beit Shean was the scene of gruesome revenge on Tuesday when villagers threw the bodies of the three dead guerrillas from the windows of the apartment block, then set fire to them.

The Arab terrorists were killed by Israeli troops three hours after shooting their way into the building, killing four people and wounding more than twenty others.

Israel's Defence Minister, Shimon Peres has warned that Israel would strike back, and that all the manpower and equipment necessary to end the terrorism would be mobilised.

Two hundred rifles have been distributed to Beit Shean residents as a safeguard against recurrence of Tuesday's horror.

SYCOSIS: It was a day of mourning in the northern Israeli town of Beit Shean on Wednesday as the four victims of the previous day's Arab guerrilla attack on an apartment block in the town were burried. But the sorrow of the townspeople was mixed with blazing anger and demands for revenge. Police reinforcements were sent to the town to preserve order during the funeral.

The four Israelis were gunned down by three Palestine guerrillas who staged a pre-dawn raid in an attempt to secure the release of number of prisoners held by the Israelis.

The villagers took their own revenge on the terrorists after Israeli troops had killed them. They threw the bodies into the street, then set fire to them. Israeli's Defence Minister, Shimon Peres, has warned that Israelis will strike back, and that all the manpower and equipment necessary to end the terrorism will be mobilised.

Two hundred rifles have been distributed to the mourning Beit Shean residents as a defence against further Arab terrorist attacks.
