    EIGHT HUNDRED MEMBERS OF THE SONS OF FREEDOM SECT OF DOUKHOBORS, WHO MIGRATED FROM THEIR HOMES IN THE KOOTENAY VALLEY OF BRITISH COLUMBIA LAST SUMMER, HAVE NOW MOVED IN TO VANCOUVER.

    THEY HAD LIVED FOR THE PAST TWO MONTHS IN A SEVENTH DAY ADVENTIST CAMP IN HOPE, B.C., WHERE THEY STOPPED IN THEIR MARCH. IT WAS ORIGINALLY TO END IN AGASSIZ, WHERE SOME OF THEIR MEMBERS ARE IN PRISON. BUT SUDDENLY, AND WITHOUT EXPLANATION, THEY PACKED, LEFT THEIR TEMPORARY HOMES AND PREPARED TO MOVE ON.

    IN VANCOUVER, BUSES UNLOADED MEMBERS OF THE SECT. THEY GATHERED IN VICTORY SQUARE, AND STAYED THERE OVERNIGHT. THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE WATCHED FROM OFFICE WINDOWS AND SIDEWALKS AS THE DOUKHOBORS MILLED AROUND. THEY LATER DISPERSED TO LOCAL CHURCH HALLS, ROOMING HOUSES AND PRIVATE HOMES IN VANCOUVER.

    IT'S THOUGHT THEY MAY BE ON THEIR WAY TO VICTORIA, THE PROVINCIAL CAPITAL, ON VANCOUVER ISLAND.
