    TRANSCRIPT: STEWART: "First, when any country is given independence, that independence must be given in a form which safeguards the interests of all people and not only those of a minority group. Second, that it is greatly to be desired that this process should be carried through by consultation and agreement as has indeed happened in so many of the countries of the Commonwealth, many of whom are here in the Assembly today."
