    The second world Acrobatic championships in West germany were dominated by competitors from the Soviet Union and West Germany. Of the ten categories, Soviet athletes won six, and West Germany three. A Polish team won the men's Group Balance event. On Saturday (25 September), winner in various events gave a demonstration performance at the championship venue, Saarbruecken.

    SYNOPSIS: West Germany's Karin Koenig was the winner of the women's single pedestal event.

    The winners of the men's pair balance were from the Soviet Union. Vladimir Alimanov and Vladimir Nasarov also won the event in the 1974 championships held in Moscow.

    The judges gave the women's tumbling championship to Ludmilla Zyganova of the Soviet Union.

    The women's pairs tempo event went to a Soviet pair, Nadejda Tishtsenko and Rita Kucharenko.

    The only success to Polish competitors came in the men's balance group. Last year this category was won by Soviet competitors.
