Background: A joint statement between the trades Unions of China, South Vietnam and the Vietnam Democratic Republic was signed in Peking on the evening of April 30th.
Premier Chou En-lai attended the signing ceremony.
The state was signed by Liu Ning-yi, President of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions; Tran Hoai Nam, head of the delegation of the working People's Association for the Liberation of South Vietnam; and Do Dao Tiem, head of the delegation of the Vietnam Federation of Trade Unions.
The joint statement calls on the workers of all lands to enhance their vigilance a hundred fold and thoroughly expose and oppose the counter revolutionary double policy of sham peace and real war flaunted by the Johnson Administration and also all the schemes for 'peace negotiations' now being engineered by US imperialism and its partners. It expresses the hope that workers throughout the world enhance their solidarity, consolidate and strengthen the anti-US united front of the world's peoples, and drive the US aggressors out of Vietnam, Indo-China and every other place they occupy.
