    Background: Among Ambassadors to address the General Assembly yesterday during its debate on the China question were Mr. Augusto Espinosa of Colombia and Mr. Humberto Diaz Casanueva from Chile. Predictably, as co-sponsors of the two China resolution, Colombia indicated it would vote for Taiwan to retain its seat. On the other hand Chile said it could not support the continued membership of Taiwan and that the People's Republic of China should take the seat.
