THE EXPLOSION SHATTERED OFFICE WINSON DYER A WIDE AREA. POLICE SAID THE SOME WAS MISSES IN THE TRUCK OF A CAR PARKED CLOSE TO A BUILDING OCCUPIED BY A SECTION OF THE MINISTRY OF TRANSPORT.

    HEAVY TRAFFIC AND CROWDS OF OFFICE WORKERS RETURNING HOME, AND SHOPPERS, HAMPERED FIREMEN IN THEIR ATTEMPTS TO PUT OUT FLAMINGS CARS AND SALVAGE OTHERS. THE INJURED MEN AND WOMEN, WERE TAKEN TO HOSPITAL FOR FIRST AID TREATMENT.

    THE EXPLOSION WAS THE FIRST SERIOUS TERRORIST VIOLENCE IN CUBA FOR NEARLY TWO MONTHS. ON APRIL 13 ANTI-CASTRO AGENTS WERE PLANED FRO STARTING THE FIRE THAT DESTROYED "EL CANTO" THE COUNTRY'S LARGEST NATIONALISED CLOTHING STORE. TWELVE PEOPLE WERE INJURED IN THE BLAZE.
