    IN A RACE PACED BY MOPEDS, PETER POST OF THE NETHERLANDS BEAT BELGIUM'S JOS DE BAKKER AND ENGLAND'S DAVE BONNER.

    JIRI DALER WAS ALSO IN GOOD FORM IN THE GOLDEN WHEEL FIVE MILE INTERNATIONAL POINT-TO-POINT RACE, BUT FINISHED SECOND TO ENGLISH RIDER M. JACKSON.

    FRENCHMAN DANIEL MORELON WON THE "CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS" 1,000 METRES SPRINT RACE WITH ONLY INCHES TO SPARE OVER ANOTHER BRITISH RIDER REG BENNETT. LAST YEAR'S WINNER, JURGEN GESCHKE OF EAST GERMANY WAS THIRD.

    A LARGE AND APPRECIATIVE CROWD WATCHED THE RACING IN BRIGHT SUNSHINE.
