    President Kenneth Kaunda of Zambia has said that even though the frontline countries of Rhodesia supported the Patriotic Front, they would abide by the wishes of the people in matters of leadership. The President was speaking in Accra during an official visit to Ghana. Ghana and Zambia have called for the stepping up of the struggle for the liberation of Zimbabwe. (Rhodesia).

    SYNOPSIS: Dr. Kaunda and Ghanaian leader General Ignatius Acheampong issued a communique at the end of the official visit.

    President Kaunda was on a West African tour. The communique issued after talks with General Acheampong said the two leaders regretted Britain's role in Rhodesian affair. It said Britain had failed to honour its commitments to ensure that Rhodesian forces were not used to attack neighbouring states. President Kaunda was given a big farewell before leaving Ghana. General Acheampong accepted an invitation from President Kaunda to visit Zambia in the near future.
