Background: In Warsaw on an official visit is a Bulgarian Communist Party and Government delegation. Headed by Party Secretary Todor Zivkov and Prime Minister Anton Yugov, the delegation after landing at the airport received a greeting of cheers and applause from citizens lining the streets.
Next day the delegation opened talks with their Polish counterparts to discuss ways of further improving relations between the two countries. At a reception First Secretary of the Polish Communist Party Gomulka and Prime Minister Yugov exchanged toasts.
Later the delegation visited the Warsaw Dimitrov Factory producing high tension electrical equipment. Georgi Dimitrov, the Bulgarian hero, also gives his name to one of Poland's most successful mines in Silesia. There, miners feted them and presented miners' hats as a momento of the visit.
