Background: President Kwamo Nkrumah of Ghana arrived in Tunis, Tunisia, by air from Morocco, Mar 23, for talks with President Habib Bourguiba of Tunisia. He was welcomed at the airport by the Tunisian President and Mr. Ferhat Abbas, Prime Minister of the Algerian "Provisional" Government that sits in Tunis.
Other members of the Tunisian Government were also there to meet him. During his 24-hour visit there, Dr. Nkrumah was expected to confer with Ferhat Abbas. The Ghana President was visiting Tunis on his way home from the British Commonwealth Prime Ministers' Conference in London.
