A Garden Party has taken place to-day at the Royal Castle in Laeken, in honour of Prince Albert and his fiancee Donna Paola.
A Garden Party has taken place to-day at the Royal Castle in Laeken, in honour of Prince Albert and his fiancee Donna Paola. The parents of the fiancee and her family who arrived yesterday were present at this party to which about 2,000 persons were invited, among which the entire Corps Diplomatique, the members of the government, etc. Also present were, Princess Marie-Beatrice of Savoye, daughter of ex-King Umberto of Italy.
The high personalities were received in the hall of Honour of the Castle, while the other guests filled the gardens and the park. Smiling broadly, the fiancees greeted their guests. They were followed by ex-King Leopold and the brother of Prince Albert, King Baudouin.
