    FIRST TO ARRIVE, MME. TSIRANANA, WHO WAS GREETED BY KENYA'S DEFENCE MINISTER, NJORGE MUNGAI.

    TWO HOURS LATER THE PRESIDENTIAL AIRCRAFT TAXIED IN, AND MINISTER MUNGAI, TOGETHER WITH OTHER CABINET MINISTERS, STEPPED FORWARD TO GREET PRESIDENT TSIRANANA. THE PRESIDENT SAID AT AN AIRPORT CONFERENCE THAT HIS COUNTRY'S RELATIONS WITH SOUTH AFRICA WERE PURELY FOR THE TRADE THAT WAS NECESSARY FOR THEIR EXISTENCE.

    THE PRESIDENT, WHO HAS CONDEMNED THE USE OF FORCE AS AN ULTIMATE AGAINST REBEL RHODESIA, SAID "I HATE WAR, AND THE USE OF FORCE SHOULD BE AVOIDED AT ANY COST."
    AFTER HIS MEETING WITH PRESIDENT KENYATTA, PRESIDENT TSIRANANA TOLD REPORTERS THAT THEIR TALKS HAD CENTRED ON THE COMMON PROBLEMS OF THEIR TWO COUNTRIES, AS WELL AS SOME OTHER MATTERS. "ANY SOLUTIONS TO AFRICAN PROBLEMS." HE SAID, "DEPEND ON GOODWILL AND STATESMANSHIP AMONG AFRICAN LEADERS".
