Background: Route 9, the road which carried most of the westward drive into Laos, is proving a difficult road for the South Vietnamese to keep under their control, in spite of considerable American air support. The helicopters that fly regularly along the road with supplies, fly at low level, and are easy targets for Communist gunners; and the narrow, jungle road is perfect terrain for Communist guerrillas to ambush convoys. This film follows the road into Laos, where the number of supply convoys is decreasing rapidly.
