    FARIDAH'S MOTHER, MADAM SAW POH CHOO, HAS KNOWN THE TUNKU AND HIS WIFE, PUAN SHARIFAH RODZIAH, A LONG TIME. SHE ALREADY HAS SEVERAL CHILDREN OF HER OWN AND HER MONTH OLD DAUGHTER IS "A GIFT OF LOVE" TO THE TUNKU ON HIS 63RD BIRTHDAY, WHICH HE CELEBRATED LAST TUESDAY.

    THE TUNKU HAS TWO OTHER CHILDREN BY HIS MARRIAGE -- A SON AND DAUGHTER, BOTH OF WHOM ARE MARRIED. HIS ADOPTED CHILDREN INCLUDE MARIAM, A 13-YEAR-OLD CHINESE GIRL; ZAIDI BIN SULONG, A 17-YEAR-OLD MALAY BOY, SYED ABDULLAH, A MALAY AGED 26, AND SULAIMAN, AN 11-YEAR-OLD CHINESE. THE TUNKU SAYS HE'D LIKE TO ADOPT MORE CHILDREN.
