    It is the brainchild of Mexican multi-millionaire Senor Diaz Lombardi and is designed primarily as a playground for Untied States tourists. Tijuana is only a few miles from the towns of California State, and twenty million Amricans cross the border every year to enjoy themselves in Mexico.

    The complex is being built with the most modern equipment to keep 1,400 horses and over 1,000 greyhounds. It has room for 45,000 spectators, who will be able to watch the racing both live and on closed-circuit television. Rece announcement ill be made in English, and additional revenue will cm from restaurants, bars and curio shops.

    United States race horse owners are very interested in the project because it is much cheaper to keep and train horses in Mexico. It is planned that horse trained in Tijuana will race all over the world.

    At present 85 per cent f the owners and horses are foreign, with only 15 per cent Mexican. This also applies to the greyhound. Games of chance like roulette are banned under Mexican law.

    Every year some twenty million Americans cross the border to enjoy themselves in Mexic. Until no their main sources of entertainment have been the beached and traditional holiday attractions like bars, restaurants and shops.

    But soon their will be something new. One of the largest and most luxurious sporting complexes in the world is under construction in Tijuana. Designed primarily as playground for the American tourists. it is being built with the most modern equipment and will house one thousand four hundred race horses and over a thousand greyhounds.

    It is the brainchild of Mexican multi-millinaire Senor Diaz Lombardi and will open to the public in February next year. It ill have room for forty-five thousand spectators, who will able to watch the racing both live and on closed circuit television. Race announcements will b made in English and additional revenue will come from restaurants, bars and curio shops. American race horse owners are interested in the project because it is cheaper to train horse in Mexico.

    This is the entrance to the complex, in traditional Spanish patio style. horses from both the Untied States and Mexico are already in residence in the stable area. At present eighty-five per cent of them are of foreign origins, with only fifteen per cent from Mexico.

    As the project develop it is hoped to send horses rained in Tijuana to race all over the world.

    The greyhounds, too, are already in training, using the modern electric-hare mechanism. Game of chance like roulette are banned under Mexican law.
