Background: The Liberation Day Parade arranged this year to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Czechoslovakia's and her capital's liberation by the Soviet Army can be said to have been less rich but mightier than in previous years. There was no classical artillery and no engineer unit displayed this year but more tanks, ultrasonic jets and rocket weapons.

Our shots shows: By way of introduction the main thoroughfare of the quarter where the parade takes place previously to the latter. Motorized infantry units on the parade grounds are saluted by General of the Army Bohumir Lomsky, Minister of National Defense in the company of the Commander of the Parade Major General Prochazka.
