THE TALKS WERE CONSIDERED AMONG THE MO. ST CRUCIAL SINCE THE UNLITTERAL DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE BEGAN THE RHODESIAN CRISIS. POLTICAL OBSERVERS SAW MR.     MR. BOWDEN SAID TO ONE QUESTIONER: "MR. SMITH HAS DONE A LOT OF TALKING SINCE I LEFT SALISBURY. HE SAID THERE ARE ONLY THREE POINTS OUTSTANDING. WELL, THERE HAVE ONLY EVER BEEN THREE POINTS OUTSTANDING."
