Background: Four pacifists who were convicted of violating a court order when they attempted to sail into the area where we are now testing nuclear weapons in the Pacific will have another day in court today.

The four men are again making plans to sail their ketch--named the Golden Rule--to Eniwetok atoll. In a Honolulu court yesterday they were convicted of violating a restraining order. They were given sixty-day suspended sentences provided they would agree to one year's probation. According to word received during a phone conversation here in New York the pacifists plan to go back to court today to announce they will not accept probation. Presumably the court will revoke the suspended sentences and hustle the quartet off to jail. In San Francisco 432 persons, who identify themselves as co-conspirators in support of the protest voyage to Eniwetok volunteered themselves for arrest. They are members of the group for Non-Violent Action Against Nuclear weapons. The Golden Rule and its four men crew had sailed from Honolulu for the Eniwetok testing area nine days ago. They were quickly over-taken by a coast guard vessel and were put in jail until yesterday's trial.
